Most likely though, none of us really want to do that. One of the less obvious benefits of younity is that it solves this problem easily and gracefully. When you install younity on multiple computers, it will scan all the i Tunes accounts on those computers and unify them onto your i Phone/i Pad.As hard drive storage space increases and the price for larger drives drop, the urge to consolidate everything to one drive is growing.
In my case, my wife and I both have i Tunes accounts tied to our devices. This means that if I buy the new Local Natives album on my wife’s laptop, it is instantly on my i Phone. And when she buys the new Arcade Fire album on our i Mac (which uses my Apple ID), it is instantly on her i Pad Mini. Within seconds, younity discovers the newly downloaded music on one device and will merge i Tunes accounts to our mobile devices. However, as the first step of this I need to option click and hold down option while i Tunes is loading. It then prompts me to enter the location of the library to open, and I select the location of the smaller directory.
So it looks like somehow i Tunes has files in both places, but I need to move everything into a single location (internally), so how can I do this?
